Age suitability & safeguards — submitted 9+
Fast Brix! is a family LEGO-building game designed for kids ages 6 and up and their families. Because the app includes a moderated public gallery of user-generated photos, we are submitting for a 9+ age rating under Apple's guidelines. This page summarizes the safeguards, content, and data practices relevant to your review.
Target audience
Marketed to children ages 6+ and their families, submitted for an Apple 9+ rating (and the equivalent Google Play / IARC tier) because of the moderated public gallery of user-generated photos. Reading load is intentionally low (three short words per round). The game is cooperative and imaginative — no competition, scoring, timers that penalize, or fail states. It is designed to be played in short 5-minute sessions alongside physical LEGO bricks.
Under-13 accounts require verifiable parental consent before activation, in line with COPPA. Parents remain in the loop for every post their child shares.
Safeguards at a glance
Verifiable parental consent (COPPA)
Any builder under 13 signs up with a parent/guardian email and a kid-chosen username. We never collect the child's email. A one-tap approval link is emailed to the grown-up; the account stays locked on a 'Waiting for your grown-up' screen until they approve. No consent means no account and the data is purged.
All user-generated content is moderated
Every username, hashtag, and build caption is filtered against a safety wordlist that blocks profanity, contact info, and personal identifiers before it reaches the app. AI-assisted responses use vetted models with kid-appropriate guardrails and are logged for human review.
One-tap reporting on every post
Pip's Gallery posts include a Report control. When a player flags a photo as inappropriate, that post is immediately hidden from public view and queued for admin review. Posts that break the rules stay hidden and repeat offenders lose access.
Parents see and can remove every build
Linked parents receive email notifications when their under-13 builder posts (first 3 instant, then a nightly 8 PM digest). Each email has a one-tap Remove button. Parents can also review and remove builds anytime from Settings → My Kids' Builds.
No advertising, no in-app purchases
Fast Brix! is 100% free to play. No third-party advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no upsells aimed at children.
No user-to-user messaging
There is no chat, DM, comment thread, or private-messaging feature. Community interaction is limited to public 'Pip!' reactions on moderated gallery posts.
No location, no ad tracking, no data sales
We do not request device location, do not integrate third-party ad SDKs, and do not sell or share personal data. We collect only what is needed to run the game (username, builds, reactions, reports, notification preferences).
Content library reviewed for age fit
The three-word prompt decks (noun / action / noun) are hand-curated for silly, imaginative builds — no violence, profanity, alcohol, drug, sexual, or mature themes. Example: 'Penguin · Eating · Tacos.'

Data collected from children
- Kid-chosen username — filtered for profanity and personal identifiers. No real names requested.
- Build photos and captions — voluntary; moderated pre-publish and visible to the linked parent. Parents are able to remove their child's builds at any time without superadmin approval.
- Parent/guardian email — used only to obtain consent and send build notifications. Auto-purged after consent is recorded except where needed for notifications.
- No collected data: child email, precise location, phone number, contacts, ad IDs.
