The new Fast Brix! just launched — and Pip's Gallery is now 100% human-checked

Big news from our family: a brand-new version of Fast Brix! just launched. The silliest part of the game hasn't changed — three words, five minutes, whatever bricks are closest. What HAS changed is the part you'll hopefully never notice: we've given Pip's Gallery a whole new set of child safety protections, so it stays 100% clean, every single day.

First, the funny part

When you put a gallery on the internet, the internet shows up. Every once in a while, randos would log in to test the app and post pictures to Pip's Gallery. Not builds. Not bricks. Pictures of things like… computers. Carpets. A very serious close-up of a rug.

We're into rugs, but only when brick builds are on 'em!

None of it was mean or scary — it was just off-topic and definitely not made of bricks. But it pointed at something we take seriously: Fast Brix! is a game for kids, so everything in Pip's Gallery needs to be kid-safe and kid-relevant. All the time. No exceptions.

What's new in this update

Every post in Pip's Gallery is now screened by Pip's human quality assurance team — real people who review each photo, video, caption, and username before it ever appears in the gallery. If a post isn't an actual brick build, or isn't right for kids, it never goes live. That's why we can promise the gallery stays 100% clean.

The human team works alongside the protections we already had in place, so now:

  • Every post is reviewed before it's visible. Nothing appears in Pip's Gallery until a person on our QA team has checked it.
  • Usernames and captions are filtered. Profanity, contact info, and personal identifiers are blocked before they ever reach the app.
  • One-tap reporting. If any player flags a post, it's immediately hidden while we review it.
  • Parents stay in the loop. Linked parents get notified when their builder posts, and can remove any build with one tap.
  • No ads, no purchases, no messaging. That hasn't changed and never will.
"The game is still delightfully ridiculous. The gallery is just now as safe as it is silly — because someone real checks every single post."

The short version for parents

Your kid posts a photo of their build. A real person on our team checks it. Only then does anyone else see it. Parents get a heads-up email for every post their child shares, with a one-tap Remove button. There's no chat, no ads, no purchases, and nothing to buy — ever. That's the deal.

And for teachers

If you use Fast Brix! in the classroom (we love that, by the way), this update means Pip's Gallery is safe to project on the big screen. Every post is human-reviewed before it goes live, and anything off-topic — like that famous carpet photo — never makes it in. So when you pull up the gallery for a share-out, everything your students see is a real, kid-friendly brick build.

Why this matters to us

Fast Brix! started at our kitchen table, because Sloane wanted to build nonsense with her dad in five minutes. When other families started playing, we made a promise to ourselves: anything a kid sees in the app should be something their parents would be happy about too. This update is that promise, shipped.

If you already have the app, update to the new version. If you haven't tried it yet — grab it free, flip three cards, and post something wonderful to Pip's Gallery. A real human (probably cheering) will check it before anyone else sees it. 🐧
